Overview of CADA
The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse CADA Treatment Center is located in Bossier City, LA. It offers high-quality, affordable addiction treatment to individuals of all ages through their broad spectrum treatment programs. It was established in 1958 and since then has been offering treatment services to teens, adults, and seniors regardless of their ability to pay. The mission at CADA is to educate and treat all addicts in an effort to provide them with complete recovery. There are 14 treatment programs offered at CADA. For adults, treatment programs include detox, residential, outpatient, and IOP group programs. The center also offers specific programs for teens, families, and veterans. The treatment programs include various kinds of therapeutic and historically-proven therapies to help patients on their road to recovery. Patients go through a screening processing for medical necessity and eligibility after which they are admitted in the relative treatment program. The center also offers the Edna โTootsieโ Davis Family Support Group Program in which each member of the family can participate and begin their healing process. Members are educated about various issues related to addiction recovery and taught coping skills. Through their alumni program, the center offers support to the alumni to help them stay sober and prevent relapse.
Housing and Food
CADA Bossier Treatment Center was established in 1958 as a non-profit, private health organization that offers treatment services against alcoholism and substance abuse. It is situated across the Red River in Shreveport and offers a private and secure environment in the form of a spacious building. The building is constructed in modern architecture and resembles a medical center. The interiors are decorated in earthy tones and furnished with comfortable seating spaces. It can accommodate 34 patients from which 5 are from detox, 15 for adult inpatient program, 7 for Moms in the Family Program, and 7 for children in the Family program. Rooms are semi-private and shared between two patients. Each room is furnished with twin beds, side tables, and shared closets for residents. Each room has an attached bathroom. There are a couple of common rooms where residents can relax in the comfortable sofas and watch TV. There is a library as well for adolescent residents. A designated outdoor smoking area is available where adult residents can smoke during breaks. Meals are served in the cafeteria thrice a day. An in-house chef prepares simple but nutritious meals for residents. The menus include a variety of food items including vegetarian and vegan options.
