Caron Foundation at Wernersville, Pennsylvania is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment center that not only offers treatment for addiction but also mental health and other psychiatric disorders. The philosophy at Caron is to provide hope, healing and treatment at a physical level as well as help restore health, spirituality and relationships of patients and their families. Caron’s mission is to provide treatment and healing while treating patients with dignity, honor and respect. The highly qualified team at Caron employs proven therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, 12-step integration, integrative neurofeedback therapies, counseling, spiritual support and other treatment programs to treat patient’s mind, body and spirit. Each patient is assigned to a team of trained and experienced staff comprising of physicians, psychiatrists, counselors and nurses. The team prepares personalized treatment plans for each individual patient. The facility has separate treatment programs for teens, young adults, adults, and older adults. Apart from the facility at Pennsylvania, Caron has many other outpatient and recovery centers throughout the country. Caron has over 60 years of experience in providing rehabilitation services to clients and families. Housing and Food
Situated on a mountain top overlooking a breathtaking view, Caron Treatment center offers rehabilitation services in a private and secluded environment. The medical center and lodging buildings are built in modern architecture and furnished accordingly. The facility gives a very luxurious feel as soon as clients enter the admissions lobby and lounge. There are separate buildings for men and women patients. The bedrooms are usually shared among two patients. The rooms are furnished with beds, side tables, reading desks and closets. The common rooms for patients are decorated in beautiful tones and furnished with comfortable sofas, flat screen TVs and other amenities. Common rooms have huge windows through which the beautiful outdoor scenery can be viewed. The center has a gym with a number of latest exercise equipment. It also houses a basketball court and a walking trail. Outdoor activities and group sessions are carried out in the beautiful lawns of the facility which offer a serene and peaceful environment to heal and recover. The treatment center has two dining halls where healthy and delicious food is served three times a day. The center also has cafeterias with comfortable sitting areas. Special meal restrictions and needs of patients are also kept under consideration.

Caron Treatment Center offers personalized treatment programs and therapies for patients. The cost of the program varies for each individual depending on the duration, specific factors and therapies included in that particular program. Caron accepts many insurance companies’ plans to cover parts of the treatment costs. The staff at the center assists clients in finding the best possible insurance coverage plan. Caron also collaborates with two lending companies namely “M-Lend Financial” and “Prosper” which help clients in lending money for treatment on low-interest or zero interest financing. Caron also provides financial assistance to patients through partial scholarships. The scholarship money is usually generated through fundraising.

Senior Director of Spiritual Care
Rev. Jack Abel is a summa cum laude graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary with an MBA from Wilmington University. He joined Caron in 2008 as senior director of spiritual care. Before joining Caron, he served as a United Methodist pastor and endorsed chaplin. He is the founder and president of Spiritual Care Addiction Treatment Professionals (SCATP).
Senior Clinical Director, Men’s Treatment Services
Kate has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Alvernia University and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College. She also holds ASAT and CMAT certifications. She joined Caron in 2005 as a clinician. Her areas of expertise include men’s addiction treatment and recovery. She also works in women’s primary treatment programs and relapse prevention. She is a certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Clinical Supervisor of Caron’s Opioid Treatment Program
Jennifer Archut is the Clinical Supervisor of Caron’s Opioid Treatment Program. She has a Master’s degree in Addictions Counseling from Rosemont College. She joined Caron in 2005 as an addiction counselor. After five years, she started working at the men’s and women’s primary care units and relapse prevention programs. She is a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC), Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT) and Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT).
