What Treatment Approach Does the Caron Foundation use for Addiction?

The Caron Foundation’s work is based on healing. Their mission is to transform lives affected by addiction through evidence-based and personalized behavioral health-care solutions. Caron was one of the first to incorporate psychological treatment elements with the traditional 12-Step approach. Also, they were one of the first rehab facilities to admit and treat females with an alcohol addiction.

Caron meets the needs of patients and families through their specialized treatment facilities:

  • Caron Pennsylvania: gender-separate, primary and extended care rehab, for adolescents to seniors with alcohol or drug addiction.
  • Caron Renaissance in Florida: longer-term rehab and behavioral health care services for adults.
  • Caron Ocean Drive in Florida: a luxury rehab center for people of influence and affluence who are looking for discreet care.

Rules and Regulations in the Caron Foundation

Admission

Caron is there to help free of charge, day or night, weekend or holiday—a trained admissions specialist will be ready to help.

A five-day residential assessment with an addiction specialist—free from outside influences, such as friends or family—to determine whether a drug or alcohol problem exists. Following the assessment, a staff member will meet with the patient and family to review findings and develop an appropriate care plan for rehabilitation.

Once admission is approved, an arrival date is set. If a quicker admission is warranted, Caron may admit to their onsite detox unit.

Caron Renaissance uses an intervention model; therefore, a therapeutic alliance with the family and the clinical team must be in place before arrival. The alliance begins with the first phone call and develops with each contact after that.

Payment

Many insurance companies will cover a portion of the stay at Caron. They accept cash, checks, credit cards, and wire transfers. Payments can be made before arrival, or an arrangement can be made to pay for the treatment upon arrival. Other financing options may be available—Caron has long-standing relationships with two lending companies.

Caron Foundation Review Summary and Main Complaints

Caron is known as a world-class integrated behavioral health facility; they treat psychological and physical conditions simultaneously. They believe that the “patient is the family and the family is the patient.” This means they are equally committed to caring for the addict and the addict’s family.

Caron is highly regarded online. A Facebook reviewer stated, “Definitely the best treatment center I’ve been to, the food was great, the schedule was great, and the living conditions were great.”

A reviewer on Google mentioned that Caron is not a magic pill; however, they give you the tools to help you with recovery.

A psychologist’s review on Google states that Caron is a good place for teens, but a concerned parent explains that a treatment program of 4 months would be too long for his child.
