She saw the need for improved preventive techniques, better treatment alternatives, and more public awareness of the addiction condition. The Jade Wellness Center was established as a result of this effort and is named after Lucy’s children, John, Jamie, Abbie, Dan, and Emma.

Lucy’s goal for Jade Wellness Center was to provide an all-encompassing treatment approach that addressed the high proportion of mental illness in addiction, acknowledged the suffering person as a person in need, and included the family. She thought that Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), when paired with mental health treatments, psychotherapy, and a comprehensive array of support services, may effectively suppress cravings—all under one roof. One of the first outpatient facilities in Pennsylvania to provide this Continuum of Care was Jade Wellness Center.

Through the Jade Wellness Center, where his kindness and generosity continue to uplift and support others, John’s legacy is carried on. Every day, Lucy, her kids, and her grandkids carry John’s legacy with them as they strive to provide hope and healing to others who are battling addiction.
