Overview of Lifeways Recovery Center

Lifeways Recovery Center is a behavioral healthcare facility located in Ontario, Oregon. Due to its prime location between the two major cities of Portland and Salt Lake City, it is easily accessible to a lot of people. It provides substance rehabilitation to victims residing in the city as well as surrounding counties.

The facility provides a 3-month long residential program that serves clients looking for intensive inpatient care with 24×7 monitoring. This type of treatment goes a long way in minimizing any future risks of relapse. With almost 40 years of experience since its founding in 1979, Lifeways is a well-established choice for chemical dependency treatment.

Accommodation and Food

The residential and clinical facilities at Lifeways are located in rural Ontario. The 40-acres of land that houses the center ensure that residents have the requisite peace and quiet to complete their recovery. The residential quarter comprises a large two-story building with wooden frames which can house up to 40 residents.

Each floor is assigned to separate genders with the ground floor housing female residents and the first floor housing male residents. While furnishings are basic, the rooms are comfortable. Each room is shared by 4-5 residents and furnished with twin-sized beds, a bed side table, and closets. The living spaces are airy and receive ample natural light due to the two windows that are provided in every room.

Residents are encouraged to be responsible for keeping their living space clean. To this effect weekly chores are assigned that include house duties. Food is prepared and served in the kitchen in the form of a buffet-style breakfast, whereas lunch is a casual affair involving sandwiches. Residents usually procure their dinner from the cafeteria at St. Alphonsus Medical Center which is situated right across the street.
