Overview of The Kenneth Peters Center for Recovery

The Kenneth Peters Center for Recovery is a rehabilitation center that offers its services to adult men and women for alcoholism and chemical dependency issues. The mission of the Kenneth Peters Center is to offer quality services to the Long Island community for chemical dependency and substance abuse. The treatment is offered in a private and safe environment where the dignity and respect of each client are given utmost importance. The center offers outpatient treatment services with different levels of care. Each client is provided with individualized treatment based on their specific needs and requirements. The treatment philosophy at the center is mainly based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and other self-help groups. The treatment programs utilize holistic approaches and innovative therapies such as psychoeducation and cognitive behavioral therapy. The center offers two main programs: the Positively Negative program for individuals with a few negative experiences of substance abuse but not necessarily addicted to anything whereas the Three-Phase Approach is an intensive program for individuals with actual addictions. The holistic approaches to treatment help in healing the clientsโ€™ minds, bodies, and spirits by targeting the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of each client. The clientsโ€™ families and significant others are integrated into the treatment process to ensure a lasting recovery.
