Overview of CRI-Help
CRI-Help is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that has been saving lives for 45 years. The mission at CRI-Help is to address core addiction issues and build healthy life skills to help clients in sustaining a drug-free life. The center provides programs for education, counseling, prevention, and rehabilitation for individuals suffering from alcohol abuse and chemical dependency issues. Treatment is primarily based on the 12-Steps programming which offers a holistic approach to healing of clients. Clients are treated emotionally, physically, and spiritually to ensure that they recover as a whole person. The center provides comprehensive levels of care to clients. Depending on each clientโs individual assessment, they are assigned a particular level of care suited to their unique needs. The different treatment programs offered at the center comprise detox, residential program, and outpatient program. All programs utilize innovative and evidence-based therapies through which clients are able to build necessary life skills to continue on the road to recovery and prevent relapse in the future. Clients are empowered to overcome their addiction and feel whole again where they become happy, healthy, and productive members of the community. Vocational assistance is also offered to clients to help them adjust back in the society.
Housing and Food
CRI-Help is located as a four-story building in North Hollywood, California. It is called the George T. Pfleger Center and offers modern treatment and lodging facilities to its clients. The building can accommodate 40 patients in the residential program in gender-specific rooms. Three residents share a room that represents a dorm room. Each room is furnished simply with twin beds, side tables, and storage spaces for each client. Bathrooms are also dorm-style which residents share. There are entertainment rooms for clients which are equipped with TVs, cable, and DVD units. Educational lectures and classes are carried out in the computer lab and classrooms. There are specific rooms for 12-step meetings and group therapy. Clients are also provided with opportunities for recreation. For this purpose, there is an indoor recreation room where clients can engage in indoor sports, yoga, meditation, and arts. A fully equipped gym is also available for clients. Outdoor recreational activities are offered through a basketball court, volleyball court, and walking track. Clients are provided with hearty and fresh meals three times a day. An in-house chef prepares meals for clients while keeping in view their different dietary restrictions. All residents eat together in the communal dining hall.

CRI Help offers individualized treatment services to adults for alcohol and drug abuse. The approximate cost of treatment is $7,000 for 30 days of residential treatment. The center strives to make treatment affordable for clients. President/CEO
Jack is a former graduate of CRI-Help where he struggled with issues of addiction. After achieving recovery, he joined the staff of CRI-Help where he has served for more than 45 years now. His mission is to help people with addiction in their difficult times and offer them hope and healing to be cherished throughout their lives.
Director of Client Services
Marlene has been serving at CRI-Help for over 43 years now. She is one of the earliest alumni of the center. As Director of Client Services, her responsibilities include leading the clinical staff in providing high-quality and effective treatment services to the clients.
Residential Detox Doctor
Dr. Burstin joined CRI-Help in 2004 as the primary medical consultant. He has extensive experience in the field of substance abuse disorder treatment. Before joining CRI-Help, he served as Chief Resident at Cedars Sinai where he still holds staff privileges. He specializes in the prescription of Subutex and Suboxone for opiate detox and has extensive training in that field. At CRI-Help, his responsibilities include overseeing the detox program where he is available seven days a week.
