Columbia Addictions Center Overview
Columbia Addictions Center, situated in the beautiful suburb of Baltimore in the city of Columbia, Maryland is an outpatient facility that provides treatment to clients seeking treatment from substance abuse addiction and co-occurring disorders, using traditional psychotherapy and a wellness-based approach. Upon admission and intake, an assessment is conducted to determine the kind of care the client requires. If after assessment the client requires detox, the counselor will refer such clients to an outside outpatient detox facility or staff psychiatrist for detox to be conducted. Medicated-Assisted treatment is also provided including integrating Suboxone and Vivitrol. It costs $275 for the initial psychiatric intake and then $125 for follow-up sessions.
As all treatment are individualized and based on the clientโs unique needs, treatment for each client is different. General treatment includes weekly group and individual therapy offered at different frequencies to clients. Traditional psychotherapy is implemented when group therapy is conducted, where clients are given a supportive and comfortable environment to share issues and experiences. Other topics discussed and addressed during this sessions include relationship concerns, stress management, anger management, and many more. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is implemented during sessions to tackle anger management issues. Topics addressed during individual counseling include ADD/ADHD, co-dependency issues, depression, relationship concerns, behavioral problems, bipolar disorder, and many more.
Other services offered include three treatment options for criminal justice clients and DUI clients which include a 26-week substance abuse program, a two-day course, or a substance abuse education series that lasts for six weeks. Depending on the gravity of the offense, any of the three will be chosen. The Operation Breakthrough (two-day course) costs $350 for an intensive weekend educational program. The substance abuse series for six weeks takes place for two hours daily, once a week. Both the addiction series and operation breakthrough consists of discussions and lectures while introducing clients to a general overview of the 12-steps. The last option which is the 26-week program, takes place for an hour and 15 minutes, once a week, and it focuses on healing clients using self-reflective exercises and traditional talk therapy.

Eileen holds a Bachelorโs degree from Shepherd College majoring in Social Work and a Masterโs degree from the University of Maryland in Social Work as well. She is licensed to practice clinical social work and is passionate and committed to providing treatment to individuals battling drug and alcohol addiction issues.
Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counselor
Mandy holds a Bachelorโs degree majoring in Philosophy and is licensed to practice Professional Counseling. With a Masterโs degree in Psychology and Counseling, she is dedicated to helping clients suffering from depression, trauma, anxiety, and more. She is licensed and certified to be an Addictions and Drug Supervisor.
Director of Operations
Cindy has over 20 years of experience working in administration as she used to work in large government projects before joining the company. She is responsible for managing administrative affairs and also case management for clients. She is very passionate about helping clients find support in a welcoming environment.
