Overview of Resolution Ranch Academy

Resolution Ranch Academy is a treatment center as well as a therapeutic boarding school, which helps to bring troubled teenagers back on the track. This facility was established by former NFL player Scott McGarrahan in the year 2004.

Resolution Ranch Academy is opened for boys under the age group of 13 to 17, where treatment is provided at their campus in Cameron, Texas. Students have to reside there for around six to nine months on an average. This rehab center provides a nurturing and positive environment to students, which helps in their personal growth through gratitude, open communication, and responsibility.

The facility offers a five-phase R.A.N.C.H program on their outside ranch location of Austin in Cameron, Austin. It helps in recovering of students who are struggling from behavioral problems and addiction in a well-structured and safe recovery environment without stigma of troubled teen programs or boot camps.

The treatment at Resolution Ranch Academy is based on 12-Step principles and evidence-based therapy programs along with life skills training and education. This facility even offers psychiatric services to teenagers who need the support of dual diagnosis.

Accommodation and Food

Resolution Ranch Academy is situated over an area of 500 acres. The campus has its own lake as well. This cabin-like treatment center can accommodate up to 45 boys, where boys reside in a dorm-like room setting. In the main building of the campus, activities like treatment, educational activities, housing, therapies, meals, and medical care take place.

The facilityโ€™s sleeping quarters are well furnished with twin beds, linens, and storage space for keeping personal belongings. Resolution Ranch Academy also comprises a gym, fitness center, library, and computer lab. The campus even has an open space for carrying out outdoor activities like hiking trails, fishing, and horse riding.
Resolution Ranch Academy has a large cafeteria where food is served to students. This facility takes good care of food as students get access to plenty of healthy food options. On the other hand, sugar intake is kept under the track. In the campus, caffeine is not allowed at all.

The goal of Resolution Ranch Academy is not to change their students but to guide them through a re-discovery of their true selves and a re-evaluation of their path.

This facility incorporates family and other loved ones in the program to ensure a better recovering process. Being situated on a beautiful ranch, this facility offers a great environment for a lasting recovery process of its students. However, students with histories of arson, suicide attempts, harming animals, or violence are not admitted here.

About Resolution Ranch Academyโ€™s Staff

The staff at Resolution Ranch Academy comprises qualified and trained professional, who are equipped to treat students suffering from addiction and other behavioral problems. Scott McGarrahan
Founder

Scott McGarrahan, a previous NFL player, established Resolution Ranch Academy in March 2004. He started this program with the aim to help teen boys in achieving their goals in a nurturing and positive environment. He attended the University of New Mexico and played as a professional football player in the National Football League for eight years.


Negal Staab
Administrator

Neal Staab serves the team of Resolution Ranch Academy as the administrator. He is an LCCA, licensed child care administrator while he has thirteen-year experience in the field of residential care. Staab is also an associate of the IANCI. He completed his graduation in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Texas.


Kara Kleising
Program Director

Kara Kliesing joined the team of Resolution Ranch Academy in May of 2017. Kliesing did her undergraduate on scholarship at Texas A&M while completed her masterโ€™s from Vanderbilt University. She has worked before as an adventure and equine therapist at some other substance abuse treatment center. Along with that, she has worked as a cowgirl, therapist, and teacher.
