Kris Ludacer
Kris is a Lead Milieu counselor at the rehab facility, and his function includes but is not limited to assisting patients in recovery and dealing with the concerns of patients that may want to leave the program earlier than slated. Kris has over 11 years of field experience providing assistance for mental health in Southeastern North Carolina. He was instrumental in counseling and as a special education teacher in juvenile detentions and maximum security prisons.
Kris has BSc degrees in Psychology and Sociology. He has a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Radford University. He pursued a Master of Education while working closely with learning disabled kids. He is a certified peer support specialist. His personal experience with substance abuse, with his successes in recovery, gives him more credibility, having experienced the substance abuse himself.
Charles Barden, MA, LPC-A
Charles Barden is a Substance abuse counselor who has served as both military and civilian counselor for the hospital. Motivated by his own father, Charles chased a career path in the US Army reserve. During his education, he got entangled with drugs and was addicted for 13 years. He became sober in 2002 through personal efforts and support networks. After 6 years, he pursued a pastoral calling at Liberty University. While in his final years, he found love for counseling. He achieved a BSc in Theology and acquired a professional counseling degree at Liberty of Professional Counseling in 2015. He also has a Master of Art in Executive Leadership focusing on Healthcare Administration. He has worked with Wilmington center since 2016, catering to military veterans, active duty personnel, and dependents who are suffering from addiction, trauma, PTSD, and other mental health issues.
Corinne Gioia
Corinne is a Lead weekend Milieu Counselor at Wilmington treatment center and has worked with the hospital since 2015. She has a Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She is also a licensed clinical addiction specialist-Associate. She has had extensive experience in the dual diagnosis field, catering to patients with severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, severe depression, and other issues. She strives to make a difference in the lives of persons suffering from addiction and co-occurring mental issues.
