It was reported that in 2021, around 9% of Californians have substance use disorder. These substances that are being abused are illicit drugs, alcohol, and marijuana. Additionally, those who are 12 years old and above are at risk of this addiction. According to a study of medical doctors from California, during the time of the COVID pandemic, SUD treatment has also become challenging.
The question is, can Las Encinas Hospital, a Pasadena rehab, offer community support?
Las Encinas Hospital: An Overview
The Las Encinas Rehab Pasadena is known for its unending sunshine. It was founded in 1910 as a private, non-profit organization, and, in the many years that it has been in operation, this rehab center has assisted people with drug addiction and other co-occurring mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, etc. Teenagers, college students, adults, and even elderly individuals over the age of 55 can receive assistance at the rehab in Pasadena.
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) are the two treatment options the rehab in Pasadena provides. Both programs incorporate frequent individual and group therapy sessions and are based on the 12-step recovery model. The programs also incorporate CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), art therapy, music therapy, horticultural therapy, relapse prevention, education, and mindfulness practice in addition to the usual individual, group, and family therapy sessions. All patients are obliged to finish their detoxification upon arrival; this service is offered on-site and might occasionally take up to one week.
The patients are regularly assessed for their mental health, and psychological conditions throughout their whole stay at the hospital. Physical activity is crucial, and as a regular component of their treatment plans, patients are advised to engage in some sort of consistent physical activity.
