About us
NorthStar Regional provides a wide variety of programs that are specifically designed to address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders at its various locations, including a facility in Chaska, Minnesota.
The Residential Co-Occurring Treatment Program is a gender-specific program that is specifically designed for men and women. It is one of the facility’s most significant offerings. This intensive program can last for up to six weeks, offering a structured and supportive environment that facilitates a thorough recovery.
NorthStar Regional offers a Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) with Lodging, which typically lasts for three to four months, in addition to residential care. Ideal for individuals who require ongoing intensive care while transitioning to greater independence, this program provides a combination of residential stability and therapeutic support.
The facility also offers a Co-Occurring Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which consists of three to five therapy sessions per week. This program includes both individual and group therapy, with sessions available in the morning and evening on Monday through Friday to facilitate a variety of schedules.
NorthStar Regional also provides telehealth services to improve accessibility, guaranteeing that individuals can access high-quality care remotely when necessary.

We understand that choosing an addiction treatment center can be overwhelming, especially with so many options, promises, and marketing messages. Thatโs why weโve developed a clear, standardized rating system designed to cut through the noise and highlight what truly matters: safety, quality of care, and transparency. Our goal is to give individuals and families the information they need to make confident, informed decisions during a critical time.
In this guide, we explain exactly how we rate treatment centersโfrom accreditation and staff credentials to therapy options, facility environment, and family involvement. Youโll see how we assign scores, award badges, and update listings to ensure accuracy and fairness. Most importantly, our system focuses on elevating centers that prioritize ethical, evidence-based care, not just those with the best marketing. This way, you can trust that the ratings you see reflect meaningful standards that help you find the right fit for lasting recovery.
