The Roque Center, located in Stanton, California, is a social model, peer-focused alcohol and drug rehab treatment facility for men and women. This residential program is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services and offers nonmedical detoxification services. Detox at The Roque Center involves bed rest, comfort care, nutritional support, and structured group discussions and activities.
Residential treatment at The Roque Center provides a home-like setting with 24-hour supervision and a peer social model recovery program. The program uses education, individual and group counseling, and offers participants the opportunity to learn and practice alternative coping skills and engage in positive social interactions. Integral to the program is the 12-Step peer recovery curriculum, which includes regular meetings and a speaker session every Sunday at 10 am.
The Roque Center accepts clients regardless of their ability to pay, with potential access to government grants. Major carriers such as Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and Beacon Health Options cover some or all costs of addiction rehab treatment deemed medically necessary. Out-of-network benefits vary, so it is advised to contact your provider to verify specific insurance coverage.
Founded in March 1972 as a nonprofit corporation by a group of individuals whose lives had been touched by alcoholism or drug addiction, The Roque Center’s mission and vision remain focused on helping those who suffer from these conditions by providing access to affordable substance abuse treatment while turning no one away for lack of ability to pay.
The Roque Center’s 12-step based approach to recovery focuses on effecting positive change in clients’ lifestyles and behaviors through education, group processes, one-to-one counseling, exposure to alternative coping skills, and positive role models. Recognizing that recovery is a process rather than an event, their social model peer-oriented and home-like recovery program is designed to assist men and women in developing a foundation for long-term recovery.
