The primary objective of Kemah Palms Recovery is to deliver an integrated approach that addresses addiction and any underlying mental health conditions. Typically, the first step in the recovery process is medically supervised detox, which takes place at their Houston facility and lasts between three to seven days.
Following detox, clients can transition to the onsite inpatient program, which spans 30 to 90 days. During this time, clients have access to a variety of therapeutic modalities, including family support, individual and group therapy sessions. Treatment options include dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and motivational interviewing. Additionally, clients can benefit from optional therapies such as acupuncture, equine therapy, massage therapy, sound therapy, and exercise programs.
The outpatient program at Kemah Palms Recovery builds on the foundation established during inpatient treatment, offering greater flexibility in terms of session lengths and the frequency of visits per week. To support long-term recovery, the center also offers aftercare programs, which include 12 Step meetings and other group support initiatives.
