Drug addiction support goes beyond treatment to literally walk on a one-on-one with a victim. In this way the person feels appreciated, encouraged and uplifted. In Pennsylvania, abuse hotlines are staffed with professional counselors and psychiatrists who listed and offer support to people struggling with substance abuse.

I was an addict from age 13 to 60. I used almost every drug known to man. Addiction/drug abuse is a spiritual issue. The root of the problem varies from individual to individual but one commonality I’ve found through 6 years of former inpatient/outpatient treatment is trauma which resulted in the loss of security or self esteem. Personally, I’ve run the gauntlet with programs and honestly testify today that the spiritual route to recovery is the only path that works and offers wholeness at the same time.

Hello my mother is an alcoholic. She drinks so much she makes herself severely sick to where she almost dies. My family and I have been trying to help and take her to a rehab to get her so professional help but she wonโt let us. She also suffers from severe anxiety and depression but she was forced to stop taking her anxiety medicine because she abused those too. Thatโs when she really started to drink a lot. Iโm only 16 and I donโt know what to do or how to help her.
