When it comes to addiction, opening up can be arguably just as hard as withdrawal. Beginning the recovery process is important so if an addiction develops, contact a drug and alcohol abuse helpline. Helplines can change lives with their support, getting it back on track and providing essential information.

Maryland Poison Center

This is a free 24-hour overdose hotline in the state of Maryland. If signs of overdose are recognized, this line is there for advice before medical attention arrives. Reach out at 800-222-1222 to get help in an emergency.

Frederick County Hotline

This is a 24-hour free counseling hotline for those based in the state of Maryland. Although it is based in Frederick County, the service extends to the rest of the state. ALATEEN

This free hotline number provides assistance for teenagers and children who are the family of alcoholics. The addiction helpline provides information, guidance or simply an escape from home life. Contact the helpline at 800-425-2666.
