About Isaak
Isaak Stotts is an experienced addiction counselor.
During studying at Aspen University, Isaak came face-to-face with drug abuse. His close school friend used antidepressants by prescription and experimented with other illegal drugs for many years. It ended up with overdose; hopefully, without lethal outcome. After this, Isaak dived into addiction psychology and did a lot of social work on increasing community awareness of substance abuse & drug addiction problem.
At the same time, Isaak supported his friend during rehabilitation and helped to stay sober. After graduation, Isaak worked as a sober companion for many newly recovering addicts, as well as continued to support his friend’s recovery. Later, Isaak worked as a substance abuse counselor at Psychotherapeutic Services, Dover, DE, providing individual, group, and family counseling for those who strive to achieve and maintain sobriety and recovery goals. At this job, Isaak also analyzed, evaluated, and tested patients and their data for diagnosing the nature and extent of behavioral health disorder, developed individual treatment plans, and tracked patient progress and dispensation of treatment services.
From time-to-time in off-duty hours, Isaak practiced psycho-education of youth and their parents at schools. These lectures included such topics as what are street drugs, why they are dangerous, how to detect if a child/teen uses a drug, how to act in such cases, and more.
In his current position, an in-house medical writer at AddictionResource, Isaak provides accurate and authoritative information for those who are struggling with substance abuse and behavioral issues and their relatives.
