The Florida House Detox Overview

The Florida House Detox, situated in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and under The Florida House Experience is a treatment center that provides medically-supervised detox services to seeking prior cleansing before moving on to primary care. Located just south of Palm Beach County, the facility has been offering treatment to clients for over 14 years. The facility is fully equipped to provide support for dual diagnosis, as well as helping to stabilize each client while they go through treatment. The staff in charge creates a treatment plan that offers the best level of care to the client after completion of the detoxification.

Majority of clients who come in for detox stay for five to seven days, but stay can be extended as the duration of stay is purely dependent on the clientโ€™s progress. After clients have completed detox and are well enough, they are encouraged to move on to residential or inpatient treatment to maintain a continuum of care. Treatment plan created mostly encourages the use of cognitive behavioral therapy during group therapy, as well as implementing other treatment modalities. Such modalities such help clients develop the set life and coping skills for continuing in care and early recovery. The facility also offers 12-step meetings every evening and it is facilitated by a staff counselor or therapist.

The staff of the facility comprises masters-level therapists, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed social workers, consulting psychiatrists, behavioral health technicians, and many more who offer 24/7 support to clients. The facility also offers medication management to individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Accommodation and Food

The facility offers a newly-renovated facility which is fully equipped with necessary amenities. It features private bathrooms and plush beddings with modern dรฉcor. Clients registered for the detox program are required to share a room, and the facility admits a maximum of 20 individuals at a time. The facility makes sure that the ratio of client to a therapist is minimal and offering individual care and attention is of utmost importance.

Clients are entitled to meals which are prepared by an on-site chef, and all dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences are taken into consideration. Both snacks and meals and offered to clients. While receiving detox, clients are prohibited from using personal computers and cell phones, the use of TVs are allowed as there is one in every room. For recreational and relaxation purposes, clients can read books, socialize, and play games while in treatment.

Ahmed holds a Bachelorโ€™s degree from the University of Miami in Microbiology and Immunology. He then furthered his education by going to the University of South Florida, where he earned a medical degree. He is in charge of supervising and monitoring physician assistants and nurse practitioners at the facility.

Nicholas holds a doctorate degree from the California School of Professional Psychology and is well versed in psychology and neurofeedback. He is licensed to practice health psychology and has over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health sector.
