Summit Oaks Hospital, located in Summit, New Jersey, provides comprehensive alcohol and drug rehabilitation services. The facility is well-equipped to treat a wide range of conditions either individually or concurrently through dedicated dual diagnosis treatment tracks. Services at Summit Oaks Hospital include medically monitored detox, medication-assisted treatment, inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for children and teenagers, and telehealth options are also provided.

Summit Oaks Hospital offers a medically supervised detox program designed to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. Medical professionals monitor patients’ vital signs and withdrawal symptoms to ensure a comfortable and safe detox process. Licensed clinicians may administer FDA-approved prescriptions to help prevent relapse. The length and method of detox vary depending on the individual needs of each patient.

The inpatient program at Summit Oaks Hospital serves as a short-term residential transition into outpatient settings. This program focuses on developing life skills, providing relapse prevention strategies, and enhancing emotional wellness to prepare clients for a successful recovery journey.

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an alternative to inpatient hospitalization and is ideal for those who do not require overnight stays. This program includes group therapy, educational groups, psychiatric care, skills training, psychoeducational classes, and aftercare planning. PHP sessions are held from 10 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Summit Oaks Hospital’s adult psychiatric intensive outpatient program (IOP) caters to clients who need intensive therapy while maintaining their personal and professional commitments. This program addresses conditions such as depression, anxiety, anger, chronic pain, mood disorders, impulsive behavior, and grief and loss. Treatment includes medication management, group therapy, psychoeducation, and discharge referrals. The IOP meets from 10 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday, with an evening session also available.

Continual care and support are provided for all alumni of Summit Oaks Hospital. Clients may be referred to outside facilities for specialized programs to ensure long-term recovery and support.

Summit Oaks Hospital accepts self-pay and financing options. They are in-network with Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Cigna, Horizon BlueCross/BlueShield, Oxford UBH, and TRICARE. Patients are advised to verify their coverage and out-of-network benefits.
