On Georgia’s Saint Simons Island, Saint Simons By-The-Sea Behavioral Health helps teens (ages 12 to 17), adults, and seniors with all of their mental health needs. The center specializes in dealing with mental health crises, drug use disorders, and disorders that happen at the same time. It offers care that is tailored to the needs of women through programs like the Harmony Women’s Program.
Detox, inpatient recovery, intense outpatient programs (IOP), treatment for teens, and aftercare services are all part of the facility’s spectrum of care. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, group and family therapy, leisure therapy, life-skills training, and drug management are some of the treatment options that have been shown to work. Saint Simons By-The-Sea also provides special help for military members and their families, focusing on the unique problems faced by active-duty soldiers and veterans. The center meets high standards of care and is accredited by The Joint Commission. It also takes most commercial insurance plans, such as Medicare and Tricare®.
