Providing comprehensive addiction treatment services for a range of drug use disorders, including alcoholism, opiate addiction, and co-occurring mental health illnesses, Pathways Inc. is based in Greenup, Kentucky. Their method places a strong emphasis on adaptability, enabling patients to attend outpatient addiction treatment sessions while carrying on with their regular life at home. For people who don’t require full-time residential care but still need a more organized treatment plan, Pathways Inc. also provides intense outpatient care.

Pathways Inc. offers specialized programs that are designed to accommodate the various demands of various demographics. These include adolescent-specific care, which focuses on the particular requirements of teens coping with drug use disorders, and gender-specific treatment choices, which address the particular issues experienced by men and women. By providing treatment that is customized to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances, the individualized approach fosters a healing and supportive atmosphere that lasts the duration of the patient’s rehabilitation.

President Kennedy’s commitment to overhaul behavioral health care nationally led to the founding of the Nineteenth Regional Mental Health / Mental Retardation Board in 1966, which is when Pathways Inc. started its beginnings. Elliott County was added to the original service area, which included Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence counties. The business changed its name to Lansdowne Comprehensive Care Center in 1972. It then combined with Cave Run Comprehensive Care Center in 1982 to become Pathways Inc. In order to better serve the community’s expanding needs, this merger expanded to include Bath, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, and Rowan counties.

In order to offer a wide variety of behavioral health services, including assistance for intellectual and developmental impairments, mental health care, and treatment for drug use disorders, Pathways Inc. has expanded to employ a committed staff of over 450 specialists. More than 14,000 people are served annually by their extensive programs, which include prevention, early intervention, treatment, and long-term rehabilitation. Pathways Inc. is still committed to providing a comprehensive therapeutic setting that prioritizes each client’s long-term rehabilitation and well-being.

The fact that Pathways Inc. is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) demonstrates its dedication to upholding high standards for the provision of care and service. This award is a testament to the organization’s commitment to provide top-notch behavioral health services and its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of life for people and families in the areas it serves.
