About us
Center for Discovery Fairfield is a treatment center in Fairfield, Connecticut, for female and non-binary people aged 18 and up who are dealing with eating disorders. The gender-specific facility gives those who are affected a safe and supportive place to be, no matter what sex they were given at birth. Residential Treatment (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) are some of their programs. Each one is meant to help their patients with the specific problems they are having.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP) are just a few of the treatment methods used at the center that have been shown to work. Patients are also taught about eating, take part in yoga and mindfulness activities, and move around joyfully. The CARE-CFD Model, which stresses consistent and attentive relational eating, is used by Center for Discovery Fairfield. This model is based on trauma-informed care. The Joint Commission has certified that the facility provides the best care possible, with a wide range of services designed to help people recover and stay healthy in the long run.

We understand that choosing an addiction treatment center can be overwhelming, especially with so many options, promises, and marketing messages. Thatโs why weโve developed a clear, standardized rating system designed to cut through the noise and highlight what truly matters: safety, quality of care, and transparency. Our goal is to give individuals and families the information they need to make confident, informed decisions during a critical time.
In this guide, we explain exactly how we rate treatment centersโfrom accreditation and staff credentials to therapy options, facility environment, and family involvement. Youโll see how we assign scores, award badges, and update listings to ensure accuracy and fairness. Most importantly, our system focuses on elevating centers that prioritize ethical, evidence-based care, not just those with the best marketing. This way, you can trust that the ratings you see reflect meaningful standards that help you find the right fit for lasting recovery.
