About us
The Adanta Group is a private, non-profit organization with headquarters in Greensburg, Kentucky. It provides a wide range of community-based services with an emphasis on sexual assault resource services, alcohol, tobacco, and drug misuse prevention, mental health, and substance abuse. The Adanta Group – Green County provides individualized treatment to individuals and families by providing group and one-on-one therapy sessions for mental health and drug use issues. Adanta, one of Kentucky’s fourteen community mental health clinics, makes a substantial contribution to the community’s well-being.
Adanta has more than 250 employees, including professional counselors and prescribers, making it well-equipped to provide top-notch treatment. In order to provide a seamless experience for the roughly 5,000 active customers it serves each month, the organization also employs dedicated administrative and client support staff members. There are many ways to pay for services, including self-pay, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. Adanta’s ability to provide critical care is further enhanced by its contract vendor status with the Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental, and Intellectual Disabilities.
The 1963 Community Mental Health Act, which was signed into law by President John F. Kennedy, is where Adanta got its start. This historic law made it possible for people with mental diseases to obtain treatment in their communities rather than in psychiatric facilities by establishing comprehensive community mental health clinics around the country. This change sparked the expansion of behavioral healthcare services and included addiction treatment within the range of mental health treatments, proving that mental diseases could be treated more successfully in community settings.
Adanta was founded in 1966 and started off with only one facility in Pulaski County, operating under the name Lake Cumberland Regional MH-MR Board, Inc. It grew over time into a network of ten outpatient clinics offering a range of services and activities, with an average of 5,000 customers each month. Adanta is a community mental health facility that aims to improve lives by fostering wellness and recovery via person-centered treatment.
Adanta’s all-inclusive services are designed for kids, teens, adults, and families, guaranteeing that everyone in need of care can get it. The organization’s CARF certification, which attests to adherence to globally accepted standards of care, is proof of its dedication to quality. Adanta’s commitment to provide the best behavioral healthcare services possible and assisting people on their path to recovery and wellbeing is shown by this certification.

We understand that choosing an addiction treatment center can be overwhelming, especially with so many options, promises, and marketing messages. Thatโs why weโve developed a clear, standardized rating system designed to cut through the noise and highlight what truly matters: safety, quality of care, and transparency. Our goal is to give individuals and families the information they need to make confident, informed decisions during a critical time.
In this guide, we explain exactly how we rate treatment centersโfrom accreditation and staff credentials to therapy options, facility environment, and family involvement. Youโll see how we assign scores, award badges, and update listings to ensure accuracy and fairness. Most importantly, our system focuses on elevating centers that prioritize ethical, evidence-based care, not just those with the best marketing. This way, you can trust that the ratings you see reflect meaningful standards that help you find the right fit for lasting recovery.
