As a highly skilled professional, David holds qualifications as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addiction Professional, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Certified Daring Way Facilitator. A native of Florida, he distinguished himself academically, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University for his undergraduate degree and later from Barry University for his Master’s degree. His academic distinction is further highlighted by his membership on the board of the National Honor Society of Social Work and his induction into the Golden Key Honor Society.

 

Experience

David completed an in-depth internship at the Victim Services Center of Miami, where he was trained specifically in Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR). During this period, he devoted himself to helping individuals afflicted with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), assisting them in managing and reducing their symptoms.

After graduating from Barry University in 2005, David embarked on a career dedicated to fighting addiction. For the past 15 years, he has been actively engaged in the residential substance abuse treatment scene in South Florida, making substantial contributions to the field through his expertise and dedication.

His commitment to this field is deeply personal, driven by his own early encounters with addiction, which spurred his passion for thoroughly understanding and tackling this societal challenge.

David specializes in relapse prevention and codependency, providing comprehensive education to his clients and their families. He concentrates on identifying early signs and triggers of relapse, comprehending the phases of recovery, and advising families on supportive techniques that are helpful without enabling. His approach, characterized by empathy and informed understanding, renders him an invaluable member of the community he assists.
