Pennyroyal Center Housing
Residential treatment involves three different facilities. The first building is Genesis which provides services for co-occurring disorders (both behavioral health problems and addiction). The building can accommodate 16 patients. The second building, Trilogy Center for Women, is a 100-bed residential facility that provides a safe environment to assist women through recovery from drugs and alcohol addiction. And the third facility is Pennyroyal Veterans Center which is a 50-bed facility for homeless veterans.
As far as Trilogy Center for Women is concerned, new residents live in dorm-style rooms where they stay with up to 12 minutes. They share a single bathroom. That being said after a while residents can move to double-occupancy rooms. All facilities have common areas with TV. While the use of phones and computers is not allowed, residents can use the house computer to look for a job.
Pennyroyal Center Treatment Options
Pennyroyal Center provides a plethora of services for clients with different problems. As mentioned above, besides addiction the treatment center also helps patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and mental health or behavioral problems. They also provide crisis and emergency services.
When it comes to substance use services, the process starts with a thorough evaluation by a therapist. The whole point of evaluation is to determine the severity of addiction and customize a treatment plan for a client. It’s useful to mention that Pennyroyal Center provides various court-ordered services for DUI, drug court, and other court-ordered services.
Clients have to be alcohol- and drug-free at least 72 hours before arriving at their facilities. Duration of treatment varies, but it can last up to nine months, and it is comprised of two stages: stabilization and integration. During the stabilization phase of the treatment, clients attend therapy sessions while integration involves seeking for employment and therapy sessions.
Pennyroyal Center also offers services such as:
- Medication-assisted treatment – a short-term intensive outpatient treatment provided in three stages consisting of different therapy sessions, case management, and medication management.
- DUI – available for any person convicted of driving under the influence in the state of Kentucky. These services are available to clients who are younger than 21 as well as for persons who are older than 21.
