Housing at McLeod Addictive Disease Center

Apart from providing patients with a range of outpatient services like therapy and group sessions, some patients who require access to more intensive programs might be admitted to a residential service that is offered by the McLeod Addictive Disease Center. In such a case, housing will be provided to the patient while they are admitted to the program. The separate housing is provided to patients undergoing service as an adult or as an adolescent since the treatment procedures that are utilized in order to assist in the recovery of substance abuse disorders among these two patients are different.

Rooms that are part of the inpatient programs provide two bedrooms per room in most cases. Details on how many patients can be admitted to each of these residential programs at a time are not available on the website of McLeod Addictive Disease Center, but the availability of the beds and treatment programs can be provided by the staff who are employed at the facility.

  • How do I prove I am a legal resident of Mecklenburg County to get financial aid for in patient treatment for addiction, when I am homeless, penniless and have been living on the street for a year? i am going to an assessment Monday, and I need to know this information

    background:

i am 53 single woman, homeless,, in Mecklenburg County, who grew up in Florida and lived there until a year ago. I am desperate wants help. I spoke with McLeod today, and they said they may be able to take me if I meet the qualifications.

I meet them all – but I am confused about one criteria — the women I spoke to said you have to be a “legal resident” of the state or section of state the treatment center covers.
she was unsure what that meant — she just answered the phone in the facility.

Are you referring to being a “legal resident of the country” — or did she mean i must PROVE I have “established residency in Mecklenburg for a year?”

    They are quite different.
“a Legal Resident” legally means you have been in that state for one day and intent to stay.

“Proof of Establishing a legal residence in that state” requires a 12 month stay in the state and it’s mostly geared for college tuition grants.

Which are you requiring — and how does a homeless person on the streets for a year in Mecklenburg County PROVE they are a legal resident — I am in Mecklenburg County and have been for some time. But grew up in Florida and all I have for ID is a valid Fla DL — but it is years old,

I have an assessment Monday and I don’t know what to do.
Please respond. I will do anything to get help with my addiction. I have no family up here and only have one person who is supportive and wants to help. Please tell me the requirements….Thanks, Tiffany Edwards
