Mash-Ka-Wisen Treatment Center, based in Sawyer, Minnesota, is a treatment facility that provides inpatient treatment services to individuals (Native American male and female clients) suffering from chemical dependency issues. Accommodation & Food

The treatment center currently offers two separate building for both male and female clients at the main campus. The facility for men can house up to 28 men at a time and the women’s facility can house up to 18 women at a time. Maximum of 2 clients at a time can share a room in the facility and all rooms come fully equipped with closest spaces, desks, and twin beds.
Bathrooms are made available in halls as all rooms in a hall share the bathrooms. Both lounge areas are offered at both facilities including a living room for clients to relax, interact, and work on assignments. The center also offers a gym which clients can use during the week and it’s available on-site. Gym time is compulsory for all clients and as such, times have been set aside for both men and women. Mandatory gym time for men from Monday through Friday is 2:45 pm and for women is 8:45 pm.
All meals served in the cafeteria is prepared and vetted by on-site kitchen staff. Clients are entitled to 3 meals a day and also a night snack. Residents with allergies and restrictions are put into consideration as well.
