Accommodation and Food at Manos House
Manos house is located at a former Catholic convent with a capacity to contain about 50 residents on one floor. The other floor is being devoted to their supervised independent living residents. Treatment and housing are located in one building but in different areas of the building. So of the spaces available in this building has been converted into a music studio while the other area is used as a room for Aggression Replacement Training. There is also a gym on-site for patients to use during their free or leisure time.
The rooms are built in college-dorm styles holding about two beds, a chair, large dresser, desk, and closet. Patients who have shown promising progress in treatment are given private rooms as a reward for their progress. The facility has 7 communal bathrooms equipped with shower stalls, toilet stalls, and sinks.
Manos House also features a state certified high school called Prospect Grove in which patients can continue their education and work hard academically to make it to their graduation. The school has a computer lab for its patients and also a licensed GED testing center for people who wish to take a GED test.
Meals are served three times a day in this facility. Breakfast may feature toasts or beacons with fruit juice or milk, lunch may consist of pizza, chicken cutlets or burger and dinner may include roasted chicken or pork chops. Dietary requests are also accepted in the facility in which alternatives can be provided.
