Hanley Center Overview
Hanley Center, located in the city of West Palm Beach, Florida, is a residential addiction treatment center for adult men and women over the age of 18 dealing with substance addiction and mental health disorders. The facility is located in a tropical campus environment in Palm Beach County and specializes in gender and age-specific treatment. The treatment center is a part of the Origins Behavioral Healthcare family of treatment centers, an over three-decade-old organization which provides addiction and recovery programs for individuals dealing with co-occurring mental and physical disorders and/or substance addiction. The organization also largely utilizes the 12-step recovery program. Hanley offers personalized treatment plans to suit the needs of each patient in addition to detoxification, in-depth continuing care, and medical stabilization services. The older adults live in co-ed arrangements while the younger adults live in gender-specific residencies. Patients at the facility may also choose between the standard twin bed and double beds.

- Residential treatment
The residential program is designed to address persons with co-occurring mental health problems or persons who have tried and failed to maintain sobriety. The length of stay usually varies but on average, lasts for about 1-3 months. The residents are well supervised and the center offers a good staff-to-patient ratio. Clients in need of detox spend about 1-3 days in the detox unit and chronic pain is treated with various forms of holistic therapies. The treatment program at the facility is also gender-specific and includes psychological and family services for all programs.

An on-site gym is available for residents to let off steam and it comes with a full-time personal trainer. Outdoor volleyball and basketball courts are available as well. The facility offers a special program for teens registered in the outpatient program and also a family program that takes place for five days.
After completion of a primary program, clients are given an aftercare program specific to the individual’s specific need for an additional two weeks. These programs are connected with Alumni, NA, and AA meetings.

Prior to holding the position of Executive Director, he served as the Director of Admissions where he was in charge of helping patients find the best treatment. He is certified to practice addiction professionally.
Deb has over 16 years studying and practicing the treatment of mental health and substance abuse disorders. She holds a Master’s degree from Simmons College in Social Work and went to Harvard where she trained on Addiction (Harvard School of Medicine). She has experience working as a discharge planner, clinical supervisor, crisis hotline volunteer, therapist, and more.
