Growth Works is a substance abuse and mental health treatment center, which is located in Plymouth, Michigan. This facility got established in 1971 with the objective to keep the local children in a safe environment so as to lessen the likelihood of delinquency and substance abuse. Growth Works’ Amenities
Growth Works provides a wide range of chemical dependency services such as prevention, residential programs for teens, intervention, aftercare, and outpatient programs. This facility makes use of 12-step meetings to ensure a better recovery experience. Aftercare programs at this facility comprise group therapy, family, and individual sessions.
At Growth Works, clients get to know about life skills and relapse prevention strategies in a gender-separated session. Families can also be a part of the program where they have to attend therapy as well as education sessions.

About Growth Works’ Staff
A dedicated team of professionals stands behind the continuing success of Growth Works from the past 40 years. The staff at Growth Works comprises Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADCs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), licensed therapists, counselors, therapists, nurse practitioners, and social workers. Some of the notable personalities of Growth Works and their respective roles are listed below:
Director of Community Relations
Brian Spitsbergen serves the Growth Works team as Director of Community Relations. He is a dedicated member of Growth Works from the past 24 years. He completed his master’s in Substance Abuse and Addiction Counseling from the University of Detroit Mercy. He holds a doctorate degree in Counselor Education from Oakland University. He is also a licensed advanced alcohol and drug counselor. Spitsbergen is serving in the field of human services for over 25 years.
Klotz Jessica serves the Growth Works team as Program Director. She is a member of Growth Works from the past 18 years. She joined this facility as ARTx Operations Supervisor in January 2001. She became the Program Director in December 2015. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW), Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). She completed her bachelor’s degree in Community Organization from the University of Michigan.
Chief Financial Officer
Nick Griswold joined the team of Growth Works as Chief Administrative Officer in February 2017. He now serves the board as Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Growth Works, he served as Elections Committee Chair at Michigan School Business Officials. Griswold was even the President of Wayne County School Business Officials till January 2017. He completed his bachelor’s degree from the Ferris State University.
