Cove Center For Recovery Overview
Situated in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Cove Center For Recovery is a facility that offers treatment for dual diagnosis and chemical dependency to seeking care. With multiple programs including the residential and intensive outpatient program, the treatment center offers a well-rounded program to clients. The average duration of stay for clients in the inpatient program ranges from 30 to 90 days and the intensive outpatient program is offered as a form of aftercare. Clients under the age of 18 can get treatment at Inspirations for Youth and Families, which is their companion facility.
The facility offers 12-step programs using a three-level system. In the first level, clients are encouraged and required to take part in different activities and programs including therapeutic, clinical, and recreational activities. This first level is called A New Hope. In the second level, clients will continue to attend and participate in primary activities offered in level but with additional services such as movie days, trips to the beach, and weekly phone time that lasts for 10 minutes. This level is called the Walk the Walk level. To be eligible for moving on to level three, clients but have least spent 30 days sober, during which eligibility for discharge will be determined and treatment schedules become more flexible with increased freedom. After completion of a primary program in the residential rehab and assessment from the primary counselor, clients can step down to less intensive treatment such as Intensive Outpatient Treatment which holds for 9 to 12 hours weekly and three sessions per each week.
Accommodation & Food
The treatment center offers housing to client’s registered under the organization in a building just five minutes away from the main facility. The building holds different apartments with two bedrooms each and up to four residents share an apartment. Most of the apartments come with amenities such as couches, televisions, and even musical instruments. Clients are required to complete chores such as cooking and cleaning together.
Clients do not have to pay for meals as it’s included in the overall treatment costs. Clients can hold barbecues outside on special occasions such as holiday weekends. Other amenities included in the houses include refrigerators, microwave ovens, and full-service laundry rooms.

Dr. Hughes has been involved in mental health and addiction by directing and managing the programs. He is particularly involved with dual diagnosis adolescents. He is a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT), exceptional student educator and Domestic Violence Counselor.
Dr, Pean obtained his degree at the University of Haiti. He has worked at several facilities including Brookdale Hospital in Abolition Child Psychiatry, Rikers Island in adult psychiatry, south beach psychiatry, Memorial in-patient psychology and Broward General in Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). He has his personal line of cosmetic shampoo.
Human Resource Director
Linda completed her HRM (Human Resourse Management) program in Broward College and has been involved in education, training, and overall activities in Human Resource Management (HRM) for over 26 years. She oversees the training, recruiting, benefits, performance management, and employee counseling services for the Cove Center for Recovery. She frequently conducts interviews, develops strategies for employee morale, and performance, she is also responsible for implementing the facility procedures and policies.
