Ashley Addiction Treatment, located in the city of Havre de Grace is a 35-year-old alcohol and drug treatment center founded by Father Joseph C. Martin, a Catholic priest, and Mae Abraham, who both suffered from alcoholism and were inspired to help other individuals struggling with the affliction as well. However, electronic devices, food, perfumes, and revealing clothing are not allowed in the facility. The center offers the residents with an array of above-average dishes which include eggs and bacon, fresh pancakes, chicken, pasta, and meatloaf. Accommodation is made for clients with special dietary requirements and dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients. Residents are also advised to engage in healthy activities such as exercises (a fully-equipped fitness center and personal trainers are available on site), meditation and arts. The center also offers free massages. A typical day usually kicks off around 6:00 am and ends at about 9:00 pm.
