DACCO Tampa is a substance abuse treatment center that provides its clients with medical detox services, inpatient rehabilitation (IP), partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). It is a court-ordered rehab center.
DACCO provides its services to both women and men, but they stay in separate buildings. Women’s clinic is located on site, and men’s facility is located nearby, just a couple of minutes away.
There is another DACCO facility in Brandon, where patients can continue their recovery as a part of IOP or PHP.
The capacity of men’s building is 132 patients. They sleep in a hall like bedrooms. The biggest bedroom counts 40 beds. Residents share bathrooms which are located in the hallway. Patients spend their free time watching TV in a common area or exercise in the gym. There is a laundry facility on-site, and provided transportation for the 12-step meetings.

One of the many services DACCO treatment center provides is medical detox. The detox facility counts 13 beds (although stay in a private room is also an option) where patients can receive around-the-clock medical care.
After completing the detox, residents attend educational group meetings where they are introduced to the 12-step program.
Group and individual therapy sessions are conducted by licensed counselors, and the treatment is based on a Rational Emotive Therapy and conventional 12 step method. The frequency of individual therapy sessions depends on a person’s progress, and it can vary from once a week to once a month. For those patients who struggle with dual diagnosis special group therapy sessions are organized.
DACCO treatment center provides medication technicians who make sure that patients take their medication as prescribed.
At the end of their stay, patients are encouraged to seek employment and housing.
DACCO Tampa: Facilities and Extras
Patients spend their free time at the gym, game room, or on the basketball court. Those willing to continue their education are able to do so, for DACCO Tampa provides GED program, literacy testing program, food service certification training program and Life Skills training.
New moms and pregnant women are settled in a separate building.

Breakfast is served at 7, lunch at 12 PM, and dinner at 5 PM.
A typical stay in DACCO treatment center is six months because most patients end here on a court order. Fulfilling everyday chores is mandatory for all residents.
