Changing Echoes is rehab facility specialized in dual-diagnosis and drug and alcohol treatment. The center was founded back in 1989 in Angels Camp, California. The staff applies the social model of addiction which means that they consider it a problem that affects every sphere of one’s life. Besides that, the center assimilated certain aspects of the 12-step approach.

The center is located right near Sierra Mountains on a 20-acre property. The total capacity of the inpatient facility is 32 beds.

Changing Echoes: Treatments, Programs, and Staff

The most important goals of the treatment in Changing Echoes are:

  •         To help clients understand that addiction is not only a health problem
  •         Improvement of self-esteem
  •         To improve every aspect of one’s health
  •         To learn new coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills

The center offers short-term residential treatment, long-term residential treatment, detox services, AA and NA support groups, Aftercare program, alumni picnic, and Buprenorphine services.

Detox services are quite distinct in the Changing Echoes. The center provides social detox, supervised but not assisted. Patients attend individual and group therapy.

The aftercare program is focused on early recovery and relapse prevention. This service provides support and care for individuals who completed inpatient rehab program so they can apply new skills they learned during the rehab.

The staff of the center includes counselors, therapists, and addictionologist. Clients are also considered  a part of the team.

Facilities and Extras

Within the holistic treatment, patients can attend yoga classes and meditation. Recreational activities include horseshoes, hiking, and basketball. Also, clients can enjoy themselves in the swimming pool.

Rules and Regulations

The length of the inpatient treatment in the center varies from 30 to 90 days. The cost of the treatment is $6,900 for a 30-day stay. Changing Echoes accepts self-payment for the treatment as well as private health insurance.

Changing Echoes is residential treatment program for patients with alcohol and drug addiction issues as well as for users with co-occurring disorders. Therapy is based on the social model of addiction with the elements of 12-step philosophy.
