Alcoholics Anonymous offers a venue for people of all races and ages to go and talk about their experiences as alcoholics. The main benefit of attending AA meetings is to interact with, gain from, and engage in mutual trust and support from other people who are having the same dilemma as yours. Through sharing, people are being allowed to release some of their pent-up stress and tension. Sharing likewise make the participants feel important as they are contributing to something. AA meetings give people an ongoing source of strength at all stages of the healing and recovery process, free of any charge. All you need to join is a strong desire to stop drinking. There a total of 166 AA meetings weekly in Omaha, Nebraska. Most are being done at Center Mall, Augustana Lutheran Church, Grace United Methodist Church, and several others. AA meetings are very therapeutic. Go try attending one and remain sober in the years to come.
