Alcoholics Anonymous is a group of people that share one common interest – to recover from alcohol addiction. AA meetings participants come to listen and share experiences. AA works effectively because members share their stories of what they used to be like, what alcohol caused them, and what they are like today. By spending time and sharing, they gain strength and hope. There is no fee for joining.
The only requirement is a strong desire to stop drinking spirits. These groups are self-supporting. They aren’t allied with any other organizations. All in all, there are approximately 2 million members worldwide. In Atlanta Georgia, there are a total of 235 meetings weekly. Most of the time, members gather in the Triangle Club, Eastside Church, Galano Club, Cabbagetown Community Center, and more. The AA program has proved to be very successful that almost all groups worldwide follows it in similar ways. Attend AA meetings start your road to recovery from alcohol.
