The first step to fighting substance abuse is seeking professional help. People living with drug addiction problems in Minnesota can successfully regain control of their lives. By calling the following local hotlines, they stand a better chance of getting the best help in the state.

United Way 2-1-1 Minnesota

United way 211 is a 24 hour free counseling hotline for people who need information to help them fight their addiction. This includes referrals to the best facilities in the state. Referrals include detox programs, assessments, inpatient and outpatients programs in Minnesota, resources for families and friends and so much more. Callers can ask for assistance at 800-543-7709 without having to worry about the safety of their personal data.

Minnesota Department of Human Services

The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division’s helpline assists people who need counseling for their loved ones. All information is kept confidential. The assistance provided includes the list of facilities that help with chemical dependency. Reach out at 651-431-2460 to contact the medical professional.

National Drug Abuse Hotline

Callers in Minnesota get information on treatment facilities and available resources to help them tackle their addiction problem. This national addiction hotline is open 24 hours, 7 days a week and caters to both English and Spanish speaking patients. Patients can expect their information to remain confidential when calling 1-800-662-HELP (4357).

It takes a lot of courage to seek help and fight a substance abuse problem. By calling the substance abuse hotlines, addicts in Minnesota drug rehabs make their chances of fighting addiction better.
